Dear Reader, At ICIJ, we're deeply committed to training the next generation of reporters — those who will carry forward the torch of fearless, fact-based journalism. We don't just teach; we embed emerging journalists directly into our groundbreaking cross-border investigations. Let me introduce you to Nicole Sadek. She began her journey with ICIJ in 2022 as an editorial fellow as part of the Scripps Howard Foundation's Roy W. Howard Fellowship program and is now a full-time investigative reporter. Through hands-on experience on our global projects, Nicole honed her investigative skills, learning how to navigate complex datasets, collaborate across continents and hold power to account. Her dedication and hard work have now been recognized with a major journalism prize. This week, she was awarded the prestigious Livingston Award for International Reporting. Known as the "Pulitzer for the Young," the honor is given annually by the Wallace House Center for Journalists to recognize the achievements of journalists under 35. |
