In collaboration with key partners, UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) curates a set of high-profile special events in connection with the annual sessions of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) to galvanize action on the SDGs across key sectors. The 2025 Special Events programme will unveil important reports and feature enlightening discussions with leaders from higher education institutions, the private sector, local and regional governments, scientists, and parliamentarians, among others. The Special Events are organized either in person or virtually. In-person events at the UN Headquarters in New York will be open to all participants of the 2025 HLPF.
