(Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post via AP) What to know about Brendan Carr, the head of the Federal Communications Commission ABC took comic Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show off the air indefinitely Wednesday, just hours after Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr called his comments about Charlie Kirk's assassination "truly sick." Carr is a longtime FCC commissioner named as chairman by President Donald Trump in November. In the months since, he has launched investigations of ABC, CBS and NBC news. Read more. Hundreds of women were trained in farming methods for oysters to lessen the impact of climate change. But U.S. aid cuts ended one such program, run by the Development Action Association, that trained women in eco-friendly practices. Read more.
